Latest TW updates roll out Thanato’s Dungeon as well as Claudius’s Seal Breaker.
This is also going to be a similar release in HK today as well (according to waluigi).
Special thanks to DuckiePluckie for providing the URL and links and information, and SeraphSinger for a soft reminder.
Thanatos Event notice with the “Thanatos Set” – The continent orbs may also signify Thanatos Jr, the pet. I can’t read Chinese though:

It also appears NA’s patch isn’t taking place tonight like many planned.
Thank you for reading,
Cow
Since when did PH release patch notes?
I just recently noticed the section when browsing through the forums, and this looks like a useful feature. So far it appears I’ve only missed two previous to this, so hopefully I can start using these for clearer PH updates.
I’m also looking for someone that can pass me the PH Loading Screens, since I can’t download the client.

Thanks Seraph for pointing out posted threads in Tournament Discussion.
This Tournament has interesting prizes and also follows the GWC set-up.
Information Thread:
“Greetings, Knights!
March is the month North American Grand Chase entered official service and we are celebrating our Second Anniversary with a bang! We’ve been looking for different ways to make this month special for everyone, and figured what better way than to host a tournament with unprecedented levels of prize awesomeitude. We are proud to announce that we have partnered with PlaySpan to bring you this month’s tournament! They’ve been gracious enough to provide us with prizes you guys will really like in addition to a huge stack of UltimatePoints codes to give out!
This tournament will not use forum registration, instead we are opening it to more players than ever before with a Survival format. Since we are hosting an open tournament, it’s only fitting that we call our thirteenth competition the “Slam Party”!
We received tremendous feedback from our last tournament which was carried out using a similar setup to the Grand Chase World Tournament (GWC). Therefore, we will be bringing back some of the GWC settings currently on our tournament server, but expanding the field of available jobs to really bring out the explosive play!
Who: 364 unique players unique players with no restrictions on character, job, or level and no registration. You are welcome to change your character in the tournament room up to the start time, but be careful, because so can your opponents. While you are free to change your gear at will, please bear in mind that stats will be normalized according to GWC settings.
What: Single-elimination Survival tournament with varying room sizes
When: The tournament will be held entirely on Thursday, March 18th, beginning at 4 PM PDT. While the actual tournament length will depend on individual play speed, we anticipate going into the final round by 8 PM PDT.
Where: Gardosen Server, Free Class PvP, in rooms specifically created and supervised by the GM staff. Once the room is created, it’ll be open on a first-come, first-served basis. A total of 8 Game Masters will be creating the rooms for the tournament so it’s important to be ready to join as soon as the rooms are created!
IMPORTANT NOTE: ANY PLAYER FOUND TO HAVE ENTERED A QUALIFYING ROOM TWICE WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED!
Why: To survive the craze and emerge victorious!
All Game Stats:
Category: Survival
Mode: Fight
Map: See Below
Room Size: Variable
Items: Off
Maps will be chosen at random out of the following list:
Elven Forest
Orc Temple
Marsh of Oblivion
Just like our “You think you can brawl” tournament, stats will be equalized on the server.
There will be no Skill Trees, Pets, or Cash Item Skills allowed in the tournament, this includes Kaze’aze’s Healing Ball. Ryan’s GP transformations are okay, cash re-colors are not.
To keep the competition moving, Fast Match will be activated 3 minutes into any battle
To take it a step further, Sudden Death will be activated 5 minutes into any battle, reducing all characters to FATAL. That’ll speed things up!
Format:
Interested competitors will gather on the Gardosen Server in the Free Class channel beginning at 4 PM PDT. At this time, 8 Game Masters will each create one tournament room open to 6 competitors. If you have played in another qualifying match, DO NOT ENTER ANOTHER! It’s important to allow other players a chance to compete, so we will not allow any second chances under any circumstances. We will consider a player to have participated in a qualifying match if that player has taken any action during a qualifying match. This means that if you disconnect before the match has started, you may attempt to enter another room, but not if you have loaded successfully.
The top 3 competitors from each qualifying room (as defined in the Win Conditions section below) will be invited to participate in the 2nd Round. These players will need to remain active on the server with Whispers and Invites on so that they may be called by the Game Masters when it is their turn to participate in Round 2. Players will be given TWO MINUTES from the time of first contact to respond to a GM’s call to appear, after which point the player may be disqualified from the tournament.
The 2nd Round will consist of rooms of 6 filled by qualifiers from the previous round. The top 2 competitors from each room in the 2nd Round will be invited to participate in the 3rd Round. Additionally, the top 1 competitor from each room in the 2nd Round will receive a $10 PlaySpan UltimatePoints Code. As before, these players must remain active on the server and ready to respond to a GM’s call to appear.
The 3rd Round will consist of rooms of 4 filled by qualifiers from the previous round. Only the best competitor in each room in the 3rd Round will advance to the Semi Final Round. These players will also receive 1 $10 PlaySpan UltimatePoints Code. In the Semi-Final Round, the room size will again be 4, filled by the winners of the 3rd round. The top competitors in each room of the Semi Finals will advance to the Final Round, which will consist of a single match of four players.
Win Conditions:
Competitors in each match will be ranked in descending order by the following criteria:
1st: Least Deaths
2nd: Most Kills
3rd: Latest Elimination
While the game’s internal scoreboard also follows the first two rules, the Game Masters will have the final determination of rank in the case of a tie or error on the scoreboard. Based on these rules, the last player standing will always be first place, but it is possible for his final opponent to not even place if that player scored fewer kills than the others during the match.
Prizes:
Once again, we would like to thank PlaySpan for sponsoring these awesome prizes!
2nd Round: 1st Place finishers in each room (32 Players Total) will receive:
1x $10 PlaySpan UltimatePoints Code
3rd Round: 1st Place finishers in each room (16 players total, inclusive of first 32) will receive:
1x $10 PlaySpan UltimatePoints Code

3rd Place will receive:

Survivals are evil, but I’ll probably participate anyway.
Thanks for reading,
Cow

Feel the Power…”
Immediate Thoughts: Who the heck is Avenger?
Second Thoughts: Why does every version update on close to the same day
Here is the latest PH update (I could’ve sworn they had this dungeon from last update, but it might’ve just been an introduction to the dungeon.)
Avenger is Xenocider (Vanquisher), in case you’re wondering, you’d see it in this post anyway.
If anyone has tips for this class, please feel free to post them in the comment box! I’m sure some of the Philippine players who plan to play Avenger would appreciate it.
“New Dungeon: Cursed Lake and PRE-Avenger Events
March 5,2010

Once upon a time, there was a lake in the Silver Land continent that was blessed by the gods and was considered holy by the people living around it. During holy festivals, devotees would visit the lake and be cured by its soothing waters.
But even the good can be used for the most evil of purposes…for when the people of Silver Land saw comfort and healing, a greedy merchant saw only monetary gain. The merchant saw how much the people praised the gods for the healing power of the lake, and decided that it would be better to share this healing power to the world…for a price.
And so, he secretly loaded his ship with barrels full of the lake’s water, all the while dreaming of riches beyond his imagination once he sold the miraculous water to the highest bidders. But he didn’t notice a shady figure quietly poisoning the supply of holy water, with the intent to hurt instead of heal!
These actions would not go unnoticed, for the Gods recognized the merchant and the shady figure’s true schemes. In a fit of righteous anger, they summoned a creature from the depths of the lake, with hard armor and powerful nippers, to destroy the ships that carried the cursed water and send it to the bottom of the lake!
In a final act of wickedness, the shady figure poured the cursed waters into the lake, forever corrupting the creatures that lived in it, including Kancer, the crab guardian. Now, only cursed creatures swim in the polluted waters of the lake, standing as a testament to man’s evil.
But sometimes, one could see sunlight shine on the armor of the lake’s guardian. Maybe the lake can still be cured, but are there any heroes brave enough to save and restore the lake to its former glory?
The Cursed Lake is the newest dungeon in Grand Chase! Swim through the waters and clear the lake of its evil, but beware…something much bigger and much scarier, is waiting in the depths! And most importantly, don’t forget to hold your breath! Check out www.grandchase.ph for more details!
